Paid directly to providers, not to us: your domain name (about $15 a year), any third-party subscription a feature needs (like HIPAA-compliant forms, an IDX feed, scheduling software or call tracking), a Shopify plan if you’re building a store, and Google Ads spend on Premium Care. They’re billed to you so the accounts are always yours, and we set them all up for you.

Is the price really fixed?
Yes. If your scope stays the same, your price stays the same. Want to add something mid-project? You’ll see its price from this same calculator before we do any work.
Why WordPress instead of Squarespace or Wix?
About 40% of all websites run on WordPress, compared with 2.4% on Squarespace. It’s just as easy to edit, there are more than 70,000 free plugins (plus premium ones) to add almost anything later, and you own your site outright instead of renting it from a platform. Pair it with Penguin Care and we handle the hosting, updates, security and premium plugin licenses for you.
Can I edit the site myself?
On WordPress, yes: change text, photos and pages in a visual editor as easily as Squarespace or Wix, no code needed, and we’ll record a walkthrough of your site. Shopify is just as easy for products. Hand-coded sites can only be changed by editing code, so most owners have us make those edits.
What does Penguin Care include?
For $99 a month we host your site on fast managed servers, keep WordPress, your theme and plugins updated, run daily backups and security and uptime monitoring, pay for the premium plugin licenses your site uses, and give you 30 minutes of edits from our team every month. Bought separately, that typically runs about $150 a month. Premium Care ($349 a month) adds full Google Ads management on top. Cancel anytime.
Are there any costs besides your price?
Only things that belong to you: your domain name, and any third-party subscription a feature needs, like a HIPAA-compliant form service, an IDX/MLS feed, scheduling software, call tracking or live chat. Shopify plans are billed by Shopify, and on Premium Care your ad spend is paid directly to Google. These go straight to the provider, not to us, and we’ll set them up for you. Your quote lists every one before you lock your price.
How do payments work?
50% to kick off and 50% at launch. Care plans are billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

Our team, based in Irvine, California. All design and development is done on-shore in the U.S. Nothing is offshored.
